**PURPOSE OF POSITION**

The main objective of the role is to ensure that standardised and advanced analytical offerings are current and relevant to our client base, to constantly strive for continuous improvement in the way we service our customers through information and the way we lead through Data and Decision Science. The Senior Manager will oversee and contribute the evolution of data products that are developed on a Data continuum from Data Analysis to building all the in-house conceptual data structures required to enable DDS’ capability to produce Data and Information assets internally and to DDS’ client base. The daily management of the DDS digital factory team is a core function, which entails overseeing and managing all the client reporting portfolios and the respective teams that deliver against each portfolio to ensure on time delivery of reports as well as ensuring that a high reporting quality is maintained (data quality, correctness and completeness). The Senior Manager must have the ability to converse at senior level both internally and externally

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Constant strategic alignment and thought process in every element of work
- Continuous improvement in how we deliver BAU Data, reports and other Information outputs that are published and/or distributed to our client base
- Manage the DDS digital factory team in terms of general people management elements as well as their delivery
- Take customer requirements as received from commercial team and draft a customer-specific value proposition to assist in the technical close of the deal
- Engage with customer on value offering and iterate solution strategy to meet customers needs
- Have basic data and technical literacy to manage or oversee the development of DDS improvement projects (for example: automation of repeat work) or new product development
- In conjunction with DDS technical specialists, highlight the need for new automated mechanisms to monitor data daily diagnostics in terms of data quality, exceptions, completion and accuracy
- Have internal GVR interactions when required to keep abreast of our changing and evolving data assets and landscape so that DDS data management & solutions can be aligned
- Identify key challenges or business issues within DDS and the greater GVR to pave the way for innovative data solutions
- Maintain good governance, lower risk and increase compliance conformance within DDS management function and within the broader GVR MEA governance standards
- Ensure Quality Assurance processes and checks are in place for all work outputs
- Manage, build and/or improve on the DDS reporting, analytics and data exploration capabilities.
- Partake in Bi-annual performance appraisals:

- For self where development plans can be discussed and documented with your manager
- For subordinates where their individual development plans are discussed and documented with you as their manager
- Resource management to structure work in such a way that it enables for business continuity within the team by removing key person dependencies and fosters a culture of cross-skilling across various client portfolios GVR MEA Supports
- Manage the Trintel SIM card distribution and platform allocations
- Provide input into DDS strategy and budgets
- Manage or deliver on client fuel-loss investigation reports that mitigates GVR liability as best as possible, in conjunction with GVR Legal and any other GVR functional area such as Operations for example
- Manage or deliver on DDS pricing requirements
- Manage or facilitate client meetings when dealing with escalations or issues and drive resolution

**PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
**Education/ Achievements**:

- A degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Strategy, Information Systems or Technology
- Preferred:_
- An honours (or higher) degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Strategy or Information Systems or Technology

**Experience/Knowledge**
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsible experience in a directly related area
