Africas Payroll Delivery Manager

Currently, we're excited to announce an opportunity for a Payroll Delivery Manager specialising in African operations to join our Cape Town team. In this role, you'll not only process payroll, but also lead and oversee our South African payroll team, collaborating closely with our Payroll Operations Manager based in Dubai. We have a small but fantastic team and combined with a strong and ambitious leader, our Africas team could expand and grow exponentially. This is a great opportunity if you are new to managing a team and looking to make a real impact in the business

This role is a full onsite role, with an expectation of five days required in the office.

**On a typical day, you’ll be**:

- Leading and supervising the South African Payroll Team, coordinating daily activities and prioritising your work load to ensure a high quality service to our customers
- Working with the payroll team to ensure that customer requirements are fully understood and carried out
- Ensuring that work is processed in an accurately and timely manner
- Working closely with our in country partners to coordinate other African country payrolls
- Assisting the Payroll Operations Manager to ensure the delivery of Payroll Team goals and objectives
- Acting as a customer focal point and maintaining regular communication with our customers
- Monitoring the Payroll Team performance to ensure everyone is achieving the established goals and objectives
- Acting as the single point of escalation for general customer questions and be responsible for issue resolution or escalation to the Payroll Operations Manager
- Performing a weekly review of the Payroll Team operational performance with the Payroll Operations Manager

**To be truly effective, you’ll be**:

- A South African Payroll expert with at least 4 years’ experience or qualification
- Experienced in managing and motivating others, acting as a leader for your team
- A fantastic communicator and an individual who takes initiative and pride in their work
- Up to date with South African regulatory requirements and legislative changes ensuring that all payrolls are compliant with South African regulations
- Practical, flexible and adaptable; solution-oriented not dogmatic or theoretical; happy to be in the middle of the work
- Compelling in your interpersonal style; positive, authentic and likeable
- Instinctively collaborative; a team player as well as team leader
- Very high integrity, a role model of doing the right thing
