**About Us**:
**Job Purpose**:
As a Payroll Manager, you will oversee and lead the payroll team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll administration. Leveraging your expertise in Sage 300 Payroll and advanced MS Excel skills, you will develop and implement strategies to streamline payroll processes and enhance team performance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage the payroll team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Utilize Sage 300 Payroll to manage and process employee payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and reconcile payroll records on a monthly basis, ensuring data accuracy.
- Provide timely and accurate payroll projections to the Senior Accountant for cash flow planning.
- Generate and reconcile the monthly payroll journal, including the allocation of amounts and ledger accounts.
- Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports, returns, and statements to regulatory bodies.
- Handle tools debt reports, leave pay reports, and other payroll-related documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance department to communicate financial implications and insights.
- Manage and submit statutory returns such as EMP 201, EMP 501, UIF declaration, and others.
- Prepare and submit RMA calculations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Stay updated on applicable tax laws and ensure compliance in payroll processing.
- Utilise advanced MS Excel skills for in-depth analysis and reporting.
**Desired Experience & Qualification**:
- Minimum of three years of experience in Sage 300 Payroll administration.
- Minimum of three years of experience in payroll management, with proven experience managing payroll teams, ideally in a large manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with statutory payroll requirements and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
