**Commercial Manager** **Smart Energy Management Department** This position reports to the**:SEM Executive** **Purpose of the job**: Our Client is looking for a seasoned Commercial Manager that will be responsible for taking the Go To Market strategy and managing execution, supervising the Channel Management and Sales Management activity, and ensuring that required systems, processes and contracted resources are in place to rapidly grow the new Smart Energy Management business. company: energy is a new division of company, a market-leading switchgear and wiring accessory manufacturer that operates globally. The company: energy solution allows customers to manage, control, automate and optimise their electrical energy consumption, to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and achieve regulatory compliance. The role entails evaluating customer energy management needs, the implications of energy supply and demand, energy regulation and incentive programmes and its impact on their businesses and understanding the competitive space to sell our solution most effectively. The Commercial Manager must put in place a strong regional solution provider channel programme that complements our internal direct sales capability, and drive revenue growth to meet aggressive targets. **Main Responsibilities** - Deliver the operating plan that would be executed on by the commercial team. - Communicate this strategy to all of the relevant participants and stakeholders, build buy-in and secure the required business support. - Work with commercial team to define targeted vertical solution offerings that deliver to these requirements built on the underlying Company: energy software and hardware technology capabilities. - Compile the business plan for new products or vertical solutions and present to senior management for approval. - Develop and own business growth strategies to help meet organizational goals and objectives. - Build and nurture client relationships to continue winning new business. - Attend networking events and build industry connections in order to facilitate business growth. - Manage contractor relationships and delivery against contract, where necessary assist in drafting briefs and contracts - Works with other team leads to determine goals and KPIs. - Negotiate new projects and contract terms with "high touch" direct customers and oversee delivery by company: energy Solution Providers to end customers. - Oversee the performance of the commercial team. - Monitor expenses and sales budgets and provide forecasting inputs to the finance team. - Identify and manage commercial risks. **Minimum Requirements** - Bachelors degree in business or marketing (MBA preferred) - Demonstrable track record sales-driven business management and team leadership - 10+ years of experience in a position in solution sales, preferably in the Energy Management or Energy Systems Solutions market - 10+ years prior experience in business development or solution sales - Up to date on industry trends, as well as familiar with applicable regulations and standards - Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts. **Competencies** - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. - Strong communications; highly skilled in working with both local and remote stakeholders. - Attention to detail, thorough analysis, and strong analytical capability. - Strong team motivation and leadership with clear definition and communication of expectations, objectives, and sales deliverables - Demonstrable network of peers and contacts in the Energy Management, Renewable Energy and Electricity Utility industries
