**Job description**:
This role requires knowledge of Short-term Insurance processes, business analysis experience in an IT context, and a strong technical background including integrations. The role is responsible for overseeing the Business and System Analysis, Helpdesk (Internal and External), Testing and Infrastructure, and Desktop support functions. In addition, the role is required to perform vendor management including managing priorities and plays a crucial role in the architecture of solutions from a strategic perspective.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintains information systems by planning, monitoring, and coordinating employees
- Offers coaching, leadership, and training to manage staff performance
- Participates in planning and designing technologies to meet the growing needs of the business
- Safeguarding assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
- Maintain safe and healthy working environment by ensuring that information systems staff complies with organizational policies
- Determine priorities and effective solutions to meet business requirements.
- Design usable, elegant, practical, and scalable solutions to meet business needs.
- Conduct scoping sessions with vendors, business users or testers.
- Plan and manage implementation of solutions on an enterprise level
- Support team members in achieving delivery objectives.
- Coordinate sprint planning.
- Provide technical and business support to team members.
- Manage business expectations and proactively mitigate any risks.
- Able to mentor team members
- Maintain oversight of IT Budget
- Performance Management of vendors
- Project and Program management of IT initiatives
- Own and manage the short
- and long-term IT Strategy to achieve key business objectives
- Participation in MANCO meetings

**Minimum requirements**:
**Qualifications**:
**- Relevant Degree (e.g., BCom, B Bus Science degree) (with strong academic performance).**

Experience

**- Min of 5 - 7 years’ experience in an equivalent role (preferably in insurance).**

**- Experience managing a complex environment with a strong focus on automation and integrations**

**- Experience engaging on an EXCO level**

Expertise

**- Experience using Azure including Logic Apps would be beneficial**

**- Experience using Sharepoint Online would be beneficial**

**- A solid understanding of Accounting Software would be beneficial**

**- Significant experience with complex system integrations**

**- Ability to structure tests and to test interfaces and integrated systems.**

**- Problem Solving Techniques**

**- System Development Life Cycle / SCRUM methodology**

**- Release Processes and IT environments**

**- Testing Methodology**

**Salary**: From R1.00 per month
