**Job Purpose**: The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a dynamic individual with a “can-do” attitude to provide operational and strategic support to the office of the Chief Director. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Recommendation**:
A valid (Code B) or higher driving licence. Experience providing strategic support to senior management. Advanced Microsoft excel skills. Advanced financial management and budgeting.

**Key Performance Areas**: Develop and maintain processes and systems that will contribute towards improving efficiency in the office of the Chief Director; Prepare documentation and verify responses drafted received from and to internal and external stakeholders; Obtain inputs, collate and compile reports pertaining to the Chief Directorate; Assist with monitoring and evaluating the performance of the Chief Directorate on an ongoing basis against predetermined objectives; Assist with the planning and executive of workshops, large meetings, conferences as and when they occur; Update and maintain the Monitoring and Evaluating (M&E) systems for projects and cashflow; Conduct research and compile comprehensive documents as and when requested; Analyse reports and/or recommendations with regard to projects implemented by the programme; Coordinate evidence/supporting documents for the Audit of Performance Information (AOPI).

Knowledge of the following: Development and maintenance of administrative and operational systems; The following skills: Problem-solving; Coping in a dynamic and demanding environment; Data gathering, research and report compilation; Project management and monitoring; Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word; Advanced financial management and budgeting; Written and verbal communication.

**Remuneration**:
R 261 372 per annum (Salary level 7)
