Expenditure Analyst: Provincial Government Finance

**Job Purpose**: Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to compile a credible and sustainable main and adjustment budget and to monitor the efficient implementation thereof. This post is stationed in Cape Town.
**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3 year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-degree) in Public Finance, Accounting or Economics; A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience in a financial management environment.
**Recommendation**: Strong financial background in Public Sector Finance.
**Key Performance Areas**:
In-year monitoring (IYM) model: Compilation of provincial model, review, annual implementation, credibility of monthly information and draft monthly/ quarterly narrative reports; Evaluate inputs of the rollover and revenue retention process; Assist with the implementation and evaluation of inputs for the adjustment budget and the main budget process; Render technical support and training; Handle policy matters related to the job.

**Remuneration**:
R 382, 245 per annum (Salary Level 9).
