In this role you will be responsible for the end to end project coordination and execution of all major events and sponsorship opportunities that are key to supporting lead generation targets and to position Sanlam Corporate as an industry leader with holistic and integrated offerings underpinned by best-in class solutions.**Key responsibilities**
- Develop, plan and own the annual event and sponsorship calendar
- Demonstrated expertise in coordinating, planning and executing events of various sizes and complexities within the corporate sector
- Manage flagship events to drive B2B and B2C engagement
- Oversee end-to-end event planning and execution
- Develop annual budget proposal for management approval
- Develop evaluation metrics to track event success and submit findings post event including key outcomes and recommendations for future planning and improvement
- Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders before and during event to ensure event success
- Identify and pursue potential events and sponsorship opportunities with insights from market research
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business and the broader Sanlam Group on key updates and plans to identify and address business requirements
- Understand and adhere to internal SC and Sanlam Group processes and policies surrounding the signoff of all events in terms of compliance and risk management
- Qualifications and experience- A bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college or university in the field of event marketing or a closely related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 4 years’ experience in Events and/or Marketing with a minimum of 2 years in a senior/specialist position
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of planning and executing complex events in diverse organisations
- Excellent planning, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
