Quality Control Manager, Corrosion Protection - Durban, KwaZulu Natal - Job ID 3818

Our client is an established, large, and stable company in the corrosion protection industry. Industries served include power generation, petrochemical plants, steel making, mineral processing, water, and wastewater treatment as well as offshore and marine engineering.

They are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Control Manager with Corrosion Protection experience and a minimum of a NACE 1 (preferably Level 2 or 3) qualification. A strong individual is needed to ensure that work is performed to the highest and required quality standards and to ensure that a suitable (ISO9001) Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented, audited, and maintained.

**Position details**:
Type: Permanent

Job description / core competencies:

- Discuss quality requirements per job,
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to quickly draft QCP's / ITP's and Data books, as well as inspection Reports for the Client and internal senior management.
- Conduct workshop and site inspections,
- Conduct corrosion assessments when required,
- Investigate customer and supplier non-conformances,
- Conduct quality tests (coating, blasting, rubber-pull tests etc.) and compile reports,
- Implement, maintain and audit the ISO9001:2015 QMS,
- Ensure proper quality administration.

**Location**: Durban, KwaZulu Natal
- **Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Qualifications:

- Minimum NACE CIP Level 1 but preferably Level 2 or 3.
- Implementation, maintenance and auditing of ISO9001:2015 - advantage.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a quality inspector.
- Experience in the construction industry will be an advantage
- Investigating non-conformances by administering the RCA technique.
- ISO9001:2015.
