POSITION: QUALITY CONTROLLER

About the Position:

To ensure quality control is adhere to according to company policies and procedures.

Working Conditions:

· Contract type: Permanent

· Overtime hours are applicable for this position

· Number of positions: One

· Location of position: KwaZulu – Natal

The position will be responsible for but not limited to:

· Utilise knowledge and skills to control processes to ensure that all products in the company meet quality standards

· Monitor the production process and ensure that all product specifications are within the guidelines as prescribed by the Quality Control Manager

· Monitor and ensure that 'Process Control' parameters such as visual charts, metal detectors, etc. are implemented as prescribed by the Quality Control Manager

· Utilise knowledge and skills to monitor and ensure that all products in the company comply with product specifications as determined by the company and its clients

· Monitor and report customer complaints related to products

· Work in conjunction with Quality Manager to solve customer complaints and related problems

· Assist in the development of new products in consultation with the QC Manager

· Adhere to food safety requirements as determined by the Quality Control Manager and Food Safety Manager

· Record and report occurrences of 'waste' and conduct an analysis on reason(s) for occurrence

· Apply food safety and health & safety principles as per training received

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the below minimum requirements:

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s) and/or studying towards
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience in the FMCG sector as a Quality Controller
  • Highly collaborative and focused on teamwork
  • Result orientated
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
