Senior Support and Installation Technician

We are on a mission to combat crime ethically and effectively. As such we are seeking a skilled senior technician to join our team.
Roles and responsibilities would include (not limited to)
Install, configure, and test technical systems.
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of licence plate recognition cameras, security systems, including alarms, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and other security equipment.
Technical support to clients both remote and in person.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems for both internal and client installations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
Repair or replace defective components, parts, or systems as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of all internal and client maintenance, repairs, and installations.
Collaborate with management and other staff to improve system performance and reliability.
Provide technical training to end-users or clients.
Assist with technical diagrams and drafting of site plans.
Advise best practices in relation to installation of hardware, their positioning and setup.
Formalising quotations to client(s) based on client requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
Proactively monitoring systems in both an office and control room environment
Maintain and manage supplier accounts within the technical department, this includes collections, deliveries and other transport related duties or requirements from the company.

Required
Driver's licence and ability to travel to various job sites as needed (required).
Proven experience as a senior technician or in a similar technical role (minimum of five years' experience).
PSIRA Registration (required).
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in security industry (preferred).
Strong understanding of security systems, their installation and maintenance thereof.
Familiarity with Hik-Connect / IVMS / SMARTPSS / Hik-Partner Pro.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team or alone.
Exceptional time management.
Proactive approach to training, ensuring a willingness and understanding of skills both taught in a workshop, training and self-taught environment.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Exeptional attention to detail.
Physical requirement(s)
Ability to lift and carry items and equipment.
