Installation Technician

The installation technician must be able to work unsupervised, they must have Automotive electrical skills and be able to install tracking and recovery devices, fleet monitoring devices and surveillance equipment into vehicles. The technician must be able to carry out installations on light/ heavy motor vehicles, trucks, trailers and machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation of tracking devices in vehicles.
  • Installation of Cameras in vehicles.
  • Installation of two-way radios into vehicles.
  • Basic repairs of tracking devices and diagnosis of auto-electrical problems.
  • Ability to conduct current draw tests and provide technical solutions to problems encountered.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Matric/ NQFL4 in Electrical Engineering/Auto Electrical Engineering

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of vehicle installation experience

Other requirements

  • Valid driver's licence (Minimum Code 8) is essential.
  • A clear criminal record is essential
  • Netstar product knowledge

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
