We've got an exciting, brand new opportunity at Ackermans as **Finance Coordinator: Online Commerce.** Part of the Retail Accounting team, this role will report to the Accountant: Reporting Analyst and be responsible for the revenue reconciliation process, initiating the returns and refunds process as well as basic reporting relating to our online store.

We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.

**Key responsibilities**:
1. Recons & journals
- Perform daily recons of all online transactions
- Follow up and investigate all exceptions / discrepancies
- Prepare monthly bank recons
- Query, resolve and journalise reconciling items

2. Chargebacks, returns & refunds
- Refund customer on failed / returned items
- Liaise with inventory team regarding stock implication of returns and/or refunds

3. Administration and reporting
- Track payments of online purchases
- Following up on missed settlements
- Report on customer conversion rates and other metrics

**Qualifications required**:
Essential: National Diploma in Finance / Accounting or related field

Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Finance / Accounting or related field

**Experience required**:
**Essential**:

- At least 3 years' experience in financial administration
- Experience in working across a number of departments

**Preferred**:

- Experience in working within the retail corporate environment

**Knowledge & skills required**:

- Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
- Strong administation ability
- The ability to investigate exceptions
- Excellent communication both written & verbal
- Critical thinking and the ability to problem solve independently
