Our client a mid-size beverage company that focuses on the sales and distribution of beverages to the local and export market is looking for a Logistics Coordinator, based in Klapmuts.

The position is predominantly focusing on inbound logistics and inventory control, ensuring that there is sufficient and accurate inventory, but the role may also involve outbound logistics and distribution.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitor and manage material and product inventory levels to ensure availability and optimal inventory.
- Action replenishment requirements by creating material purchase orders, assembly and transfer orders for production.
- Liaising with production facility to plan and monitor production progress.
- Coordinating material transfer and transport between warehouse and production facility.
- Liaising with suppliers and coordinating receiving of supplier deliveries.
- Manage returnable packaging and supplier credits that must be processed.
- Performing goods receipts and investigate any stock discrepancies.
- Oversee inventory control through cycle counts and stock movements to ensure inventory levels are accurate.
- Oversee warehouse operation and team, ensuring that housekeeing is at the highest levels.
- Support the sales and distribution manager as and when required.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 (essential) and Logistic Diploma or similar will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant logistics work experience (preferably in the FMCG industry)
- Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal relationships and above average communication skills at all levels
- Experience in inventory management principles and processes is a requirement.
- Excellent coordination skills
- Good computer literacy skills (Excel specifically and inventory management system would be advantageous)
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Planning, organising and excellent time management skills.
- Critical thinker with emotional resilience to overcome obstacles.
- Energetic, hardworking, self-driven individual with strong analytical abilities.
- Willingness to work longer hours on an ad hoc basis.
- Driver’s license and own transport.
