AECI Mining Explosives, DetNet is looking to recruit a Repairs Technician to work in Modderfontein. To repair and or build Control Equipment with specific emphasis on repairing and to manage the process from receipt of faulty equipment from the customer through to despatching of equipment back to the customer within the specific time frame.
**Duties & Responsibilities**: - Receive and control customer repair orders from the generating of the quote to the closing out of the order. - Build and repair Control Equipment following OPI’s and relevant fault-finding skills. - Perform quality checks and functional testing of repaired equipment and maintenance of test equipment internally and based at the sub-contractor. - Ensure product tracking and paper flow is rigorously observed. - Compile appropriate documentation such as OPI’s, change requests, ECR’s etc. - Create purchase requisitions and MIGO orders. - Prepare product/equipment for dispatch to customer (packaged/labelled/invoiced etc.). - Maintain the repairs database for analysis. - Give feedback to Engineers on failure analysis in an effort to improve design. - Make recommendations to customers regarding preventative maintenance measures.
**Qualifications & Experience**: - Matric/ Grade 12. - BTech (Electronics) or equivalent. - Minimum 1 year experience working with PCB’s. - Computer literacy (MS Office, Schematic capture software, etc.). - Software programming skills will advantageous. - High regard for safety and quality standards.
