Are you passionate about nature, conservation, and people? Intaka Island — the green heart of Century City — is looking for an enthusiastic **Junior Ranger / Skipper** to join our dynamic environmental team

**What You’ll Do**

As a Junior Lock up Ranger / Skipper, you’ll play a vital role in connecting visitors to nature by:

- Leading **guided tours** of Intaka Island and the Century City Canals.
- Welcoming guests, handling enquiries, and managing reception duties.
- Supporting the **environmental education programme** and assisting with learning materials.
- Helping with the **upkeep of the Eco-Centre** and beautiful natural surroundings.
- **Skippering ferries** safely and ensuring compliance with boating regulations.
- Conducting **bird counts**, wetland maintenance, and reporting activities.
- Assisting with **venue setup** and environmental division functions.

**What We’re Looking For**

If you have a love for the environment, a flair for guiding, and a commitment to great service, we’d love to meet you

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Fluent in **English** (Afrikaans an advantage)
- **South African citizen** with a valid ID
- Willing and able to:

- Work **shifts** (07h30-19h00, including some weekends)
- **Travel** to and from work independently
- **Undergo training** in various skills
- Perform **lock-up duties.**:

- Keen interest in **tour guiding** and conservation
