- Reports to: Engineering Shift Foreman- JOB PURPOSE:
- To identify and resolve all reported Mechanical related problems and to optimise overall machine output in order to achieve and maintain plant efficiency.**SH&E**:

- Outputs:
- Planned Maintenance and plant efficiency. Perpetual stock takes. Work attendance and Time keeping. Reports and documenting- Key Activities:
- Daily plant start up and plant shut down of machinery in the plant according to work instructions Conducting weekly inspections on all plant machinery as per Planned Maintenance Work Order instructions according to work instructions Reporting findings from inspection in the Planned Maintenance Work Order form according to work instructions Receiving Job Cards from Engineering Foreman on specific jobs and executing instructions as per the Job Card according to work instructions Building up the required spares for plant machinery according to work instructions Conducting statutory inspections on lifting equipment and ladders in the workshop according to work instructions Consistent work attendance and excellent time keeping Being available for shift work and standby Compiling reporting documents at the end of a shift Efficient completion of all work related documents**Creative Customer Solutions**:

- Fault Finding Attending to Breakdowns. General mechanical repairs- Key Activities:
- Assisting production with reaching targets Locating problems using appropriate equipment according to work instructions Correcting/fixing problems and recording on the job card according to work instructions Ensuring that the Job Cards are sent to Engineering according to work instructions Conducting general repairs on site including pumps and gear boxes according to work instructions Assisting where required in order to ensure that targets are met by the Engineering team**Working Together**:

- To assist fellow team members, where necessary; To work together with team members as well as superiors in order to produce the required level of service and output Availability for internal and external audits. Attendance of MBU meeting- Key Activities:
- Constantly communicate with Engineering Department to keep abreast of their requirements Communicate with the next shift to inform them of problems that you were working on in the previous shift Communicate with production staff to identify and solve problems that arise in the plant Conduct other duties as per Engineering Foreman instructions including basic welding and grinding Executing forklift duties if licensed to do so Maintain good relations and communication with all staff Participating in internal and external audits Regularly attend MBU meetings and participate in information sharing-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Educations and Experience:
- Qualified Fitter- At least 2 years post trade experience.- Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous.- Competencies/Skills:
