About the position

**Responsibilities**:

- Executing repairs to all mechanical equipment in order to secure continuity of production
- Assembling, installation, testing and maintaining equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
- Fault finding to all malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Inspecting equipment, and components to identify defects, and the need for adjustment and/or repair to ensure continuous safe operation
- Testing all systems and continuity of equipment and fixtures, to ensure compatibility to safety
- Maintaining machinery and equipment in the plant and keeping them in a good technical condition
- Recommending on equipment and solutions that shall be used in the ISP
- Ensuring safety standards
- Identifying and maximizing opportunities to make cost savings, including utilities usage
- Controlling technical conditions of the equipment and supervising if its execution is in line with technical documentation
- Executing preventive activities for machinery and equipment
- Contacting vendors to provide maintenance services.

**Requirements**:

- S4/N4 Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Minimum 5 years of proven mechanical engineering experience, of which 3 years should be petrochemical experience in same or similar position
- Trade Test as a Mechanical Artisan or fitter is mondatory
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good leadership skills
- The ability to motivate others and make them aware of an overall aim
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work extended hours (standby & callouts) when required.
