- Group Market Conduct Risk Manager**Job Purpose**
- To monitor the implementation of the Market Conduct Risk Management Framework and related Frameworks and Policies in Nedbank and its subsidiaries to comply to market conduct principles and ensure alignment to international best practice. To provide market conduct risk expertise; advice; assistance; consultancy services and general support required for governance; policy; process and procedural matters or issues for all risk related services. To play an oversight role across the business clusters to ensure effective implementation, maintenance, oversight, assurance of and reporting on market leading best practice in Market Conduct Risk Management for the benefit of all Nedbank Group stakeholders.**Responsibilities**:
**Built and maintained stakeholder relationships**
- Become a trusted advisor to, and influence decision making of stakeholders by providing an advisory service, guidance, and support on market conduct risk management practices.
- Ensure continued satisfaction of stakeholders by meeting turnaround times for requests and identifying and addressing issues or concerns through the provision of risk advice.
- Engage with stakeholders to obtain an understanding of the cluster market conduct risk profile in order to ensure risks are managed appropriately.
- Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders by identifying and addressing issues to ensure optimised market conduct risk practices implemented across stakeholder groups.
- Collaborate and maintain relationships with all stakeholders (internal team, business stakeholders and other Group stakeholders).

**Market Conduct risk management**
- Engages with, assists, supports, and provides second line-of-defence (2B) oversight of market conduct risk across the organisation to elevate risk management to Nedbank Group standards.
- Ensure that the Clusters have Market conduct policy embedded; operationalised and implemented within the business and provide advice and guidance to mitigate market conduct risks.
- Analyse and provide oversight of conduct risk exposure that have crystallised and those that are emerging or potential within respective Cluster to Group Executive and Board.
- Review and input on conduct risks/issues stemming from assurance providers, annual plan, engagements, and outcomes of reviews.
- Deliver on the Group Market Conduct Risk Management strategies and annual business plans aligned to regulatory requirements (CoFI, Conduct Standards for Banks, Financial Sector Laws) and take corrective action, where necessary.
- Provide input into the enhancement of Market Conduct Risk Management associated Market Conduct Risk Framework, methodologies, policies, processes and provide guidance through research in order to address Market Conduct risk challenges in Nedbank and its subsidiaries.
- Monitor and track Market Conduct Risk Appetite in line with the Market Conduct Risk Strategy.
- Provide support in the Integration of Market Conduct Risk Management with associated risks such as Credit, Market, Business and Strategic risks (management)
- Improve the effectiveness and relevance of internal and external loss conduct risk data through the analysis, interpretation, and increased usage of conduct risk data elements, metrices and benchmark against international best practice for improved conduct risk practices.

- Review outcome of market conduct risk practices of stakeholders by analysing, reviewing, and assessing internal controls presented as mitigants.
- Monitor and analyse major market conduct risk losses and control breakdowns through the facilitation of root cause analysis conducted by stakeholders and recommend appropriate corrective action and/or interventions.
- Compile and/or provide input into internal market conduct risk reports and external disclosures by presenting relevant conduct risk data for presentation to various internal and external committees.
- Participate in and provide advice to Cluster related meetings/committees
- Compile and provide conduct risk information (e.g., reviews of conduct Risk Management Framework, evidence of calculation of regulatory capital, Cluster conduct risk reports, etc.) for the FSCA Supervision on-site visits.
