**_CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB: _**
The Operations Manager will be responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the
Company’s strategic and operational targets and overall business objectives. The role will
ensure a low-cost, efficient production environment is maintained and optimal standards of
service are met at all times within the specified timeframes.

**_KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: _**:

- Analyses productivity, quality and efficiency to ensure that a low-cost, efficient production

environment is maintained
- Ensure production output is aligned with production schedules to meet customer

requirements
- Oversee the operations and the management of all relevant departments including the

management of all labour resources, equipment and relevant production flow processes
- Identify gaps between current manufacturing practices and develop corrective strategies

to drive business improvement
- Ensure effective management of all operational costs as per budget
- Ensure the plant operates within the required environmental guidelines and regulations
- Implement and sustain the principles of lean manufacturing

**_QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: _**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification with at least 8 - 10 years experience in a similar role with a

medium to large organisation with experience in commercial management, financial
analysis and business processes reporting and documenting
- Experience in analyzing and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy

and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
- Technical knowledge of product in relation to design and manufacturing
- Advanced computer skills
