Job Introduction
G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a Logistics & Firearms Administrator based at our Head Office in Centurion, Gauteng, reporting to the Regional Logistics Manager.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the Logistics & Firearms Administrator plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities
Main Purpose of Position

This role is responsible for the administration of assets and logistics within the organisation. This includes fleet administration, third-party claims and supplier registration process. This individual is tasked to maintain compliance with the legal regulations, organizational policies, and best practices for firearm safety, control and management.

Administration & Support Of The Maintenance And Repair Of The Regional Fleet
- Monthly vehicle inspection review
- Quarterly vehicle inspection (physical)
- Annual asset verification support
- Maintenance, accident and breakdown support

Database Administration
- Maintain driver database information (contact details, identification, medical certificates)
- Yearly audits on licenses / PDP’s
- Facilitate fines recovery and re-direction
- Facilitate Accident Enquiry follow up iro AOD’s / Warnings / Suspension / Hearings / Dismissals

Effective Administration Of Third-Party Claims
- Administrate claims
- Facilitate legal admin requirements
- Liaise with Operations around queries
- Ensure the closing out of files

General Logistics And Firearms Administration
- Support Operations with new requests for Firearms & Equipment
- Liaise with Firearm and Other Departments
- Support with maintenance and consumables where required in the Region
- Facilitate Regional Equipment Monthly Asset Audits

Health and Safety
- Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year
- Participate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Discuss all safety incidents
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committee / representative /management
- Attend safety education and refresher programs
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
- Distribute safety information as and when required

Qualification & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license
- Grade A PSIRA Accredited & Firearm Competency Essential
- Minimum 2-3 years of firearms and assets administration experience
- Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 60/2000 and the PSIRA Act 56 of 2001
- Extensive Security Industry Knowledge

Package Description
