**Position purpose**:
The Sales Advisor fulfills selling Medical Aid to new clients, providing excellent service to new and existing clients. Cold Calling clients, researching competitors’ products pricing and their market success. Arranging conferences, wellness day and group events for employees. Regularly attending industry events, training, briefings and educational workshops.

**Description of duties**:

- Develop a sales strategy and implementation plan aligned to the business goals.
- Acquiring referrals from members regarding other products i.e., Investments, Insurances, Gap Cover.
- Approach customers, identify needs and recommend products and services.
- Selling Medical Aid.
- Providing Customer Service to clients.
- Conduct client visits to review their needs and sell.
- Implement retention strategy with targeted activities.
- Process sales and financial transactions.
- Deal with complaints.
- Update information in our customer database.
- Strive to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Represent different medical aid schemes well at all times.
- Marketing our scheme to potential members and assist in enrolling them on the scheme.
- Visit, interact, and assist members in departments and public service.
- Facilitate meetings and one on one sessions in an effort to resolve issues encountered by members.
- Generating quotation to give the best product according to our members' needs.
- Find new business opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline for future deals.
- Respond to new and current client base regarding complaints and service enquiries.
- Be a “brand ambassador” that represents the company’s brand and values.
- Maintain and grow a strong client base.
- Ensure effective and efficient member administrative service.

As the Sales Advisor, it is expected that you ensure the following:

- Disclosures explained and completed
- Needs identified
- Products and solutions explained
- Documentation complete and correct
- client satisfaction
- Sales target are reached.

**Record keeping**:

- All records correct and complete
- All records on file
- Files up to date
- Confidentiality of information

**General**:

- Compliance knowledge
- Knowledge of complaints process
- Complaints received
- Fit and Proper requirements
- Continuous professional development and education for the representative

**Qualification and experience required**:

- Matric certificate and RE-5 qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred (Sales and/ or Marketing qualification).
- CMS registration
- Relevant marketing and promotions experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience within the sales industry.
- Driver’s license and own vehicle is essential.
- Meets the set requirements as specified in the Affidavit with regard to Fit and Proper Requirements of Honesty and Integrity, which relates to Chapter 2 of the Fit and Proper requirements, dealing with Honesty and Integrity as set out in Financial Services Board Notice 194 of 2017, forming part of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002, states as follows and is applicable to all Financial Services Providers (FSP’s), key individuals and representatives.
