Logistics Controller

Together with our client, we are seeking a Logistics Controller in Cape Town Northern Suburbs to handle daily receiving and processing of transport orders.
**Key Performance Areas**:
- Daily receiving and processing of transport orders.
- Daily planning, routing, and scheduling of vehicles.
- Risk management, including ensuring adequate insurance coverage for all loads and monitoring high-value loads from loading to delivery.
- Adhering to booking slots for direct deliveries.
- Daily measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in accordance with each client’s Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Building and managing professional relationships with key contacts at clients, warehouses, loading points, delivery points, and subcontractors.
- Administration functions, including feeding all load data into the Transport Management System (TMS), reconciliation of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, and recording and investigating in-transit claims**.**
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Matric and relevant qualification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar controller position within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Excellent communication skills with daily contact with clients, dispatch teams, delivery points, subcontractors, and drivers.
- Proficient computer literacy, including experience with transport operational systems, MS Word, PowerPoint, and above-average MS Excel skills.
- Professional and service-driven approach to dealing with clients and service providers.
- Neat, punctual, and highly organised.
- Ability and willingness to work long hours and within strict collection and delivery time constraints.
**Salary**:
R 25 000.00 to R 30 000.00 CTC per month depending on experience.
