**Coordinate Sea and Air Freight Operations**: Manage and coordinate the transportation of goods via sea and air, ensuring on-time and cost-effective shipments.
**Documentation and Compliance**: Ensure all required documentation, such as bills of lading, customs documentation, and import/export permits, is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
**Vendor Management**: Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to secure the best rates and services, while also maintaining strong vendor relationships.
**Shipment Tracking**: Monitor shipments throughout the transit process, providing regular updates to relevant parties and addressing any issues or delays as they arise.
**Inventory Management**: Keep track of inventory levels and manage reordering and restocking processes as needed to meet demand.
**Customs and Regulations**: Stay informed about international customs regulations and trade compliance, ensuring the company's adherence to all requirements.
**Cost Control**: Manage and control logistics-related costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities and maintaining cost-efficient operations.
**Communication**: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure a smooth logistics process.
**Problem Solving**: Address logistics issues, such as damaged goods, shipment delays, or customs-related challenges, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
**Reporting**: Generate and maintain reports related to logistics operations, providing insights and data for decision-making.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in sea freight and air freight coordination, ideally in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs, and trade compliance.
Familiarity with logistics software and systems for tracking and managing shipments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics-related software.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Pay: From R10 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
