**Purpose**:
To provide an all-encompassing Human Resources Operational Service to the company and subsidiaries, by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the business’ HR Policies, including Payroll, HR Administration and Compliance.

**Objective**:
Driving and implementing key HR Operational functions that compliments and supports the organizational goals thus ensuring the organization is prepared to adapt and be responsive to internal and external HR Operational changes.

**Key Tasks**:
I
**nternal HR policies, procedures, and processes**:

- Design, development, review and implement HR related policies within the Company;
- Ensure that all employees are familiar with, adhere to and comply with all Company policies and procedures within the Human Resources domain;
- Develop and implement internal HR Portal knowledge library
- Ensure familiarization, adherence and compliance with all applicable ISO 9001 processes and procedures within the HR Function.

**Benefit Management**:

- Ensure that the HR department provides day-to-day benefits administration services and daily assist employees with any queries;
- Ensure that continuous benefits orientations and other benefit training for employees are in place;
- Administer the budget plan and completes yearly compliance reporting;
- Ensure that worker’s compensation claims are managed;
- Recommend changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.
- Leave Liability management and reporting
- Management of Employee Wellness Programme and drive key initiatives.

**Payroll management**:

- Manage electronic system via Sage 300;
- Ensure the smooth running of the payroll process and that all Payroll reports are up to date and accurate;
- Ensure that payroll preparations, submissions and exporting to bank for payments are actioned;
- Ensure that all IRP5’s are timely submitted and that HR Dept distribute same annually;
- Monthly check all payroll before finalization;
- Export of salaries for finance department;
- Monthly incorporate payslip data onto the ESS system for employee access;
- Ensure that payroll back-ups are maintained monthly;
- Ensure that monthly roll-overs are actioned by the HCM Operations Team;
- Ensure that mid-year SARS submissions are duly executed;
- Provide payroll processing backup support;
- Ensure that annual workman’s earnings returns are submitted within the said timelines; and
- Partner with fiancé and payroll to maintain the payroll data base.

**Contract management**:

- Ensure that all employment contracts within the scope of organizational rules as well as within the legislative framework;
- Ensure that limited duration contracts are closely managed within legal framework to limit potential risk for the Company;
- Ensure that probationary periods are managed within the policy framework.

**Compensation**:

- Provide competitive market research and prepares pay studies to help establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain key staff;
- Participate in one salary survey per year;
- Conducts salary disparity analysis - when required; and
- Develop, design, and maintain competitive reward structures for implementation within the Company.

**Employee Relations**:

- Give guidance to line management in terms of best practices when dealing with employee relations;
- Ensure that relevant policies are in place and are adhered to in order to ensure consistency in discipline and grievance management;
- Attend to disciplinary matters when required;
- Act as informal mediator in cases where needed;
- Attend to grievances as per policy; and
- Ensure that all related correspondence is placed on the Personnel Record Folder (PRF) and that the HRI system is updated accordingly.

**HR Compliance**:

- Complies with all relevant legislative requirements including any related Employment Equity Opportunity (EE), the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), the Labour Relations Act (LRA); the Department of Labour, Workman’s Compensation, the Occupational Health, and Safety Administration (OSHA), etc.
- Maintains mínimal company exposure to lawsuits;
- Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with Company Human Resources policies;
- Health and safety: appointments, inspections, and investigations
- Facilitate and Manage IOD procedures to ensure compliance

**HR Management**
- Evaluate team performance on an on-going basis;
- Develop, design, review and maintain all HR related policies and/or processes;
- Manage HR budget as per action plans and time frames;
- Manage entire HR operational process within the Company;
- Ensure that all personnel data is up to date and accurate - both in print format and electronic format - including maintenance of personnel files;
- Administer the entire HR management system, ESS and payroll;
