Purpose of the Job

The main purpose of this position is the collection of all outstanding payments from customers and the reconciliations of debtors’ accounts.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

***
- Target collections of debtors and regular follow up of overdue accounts, therefore maximising sales and minimising risk and overdue accounts.
- Daily deposits, registrations and allocations thereof.
- Written and telephonic queries.
- Reconciliation of customer accounts and general customer maintenance.
- Monthly reporting to management on overdue accounts.
- Cash forecasting.
- Customer and marketing staff liaison in establishing sound business relationships together with customers and the marketing staff. Assisting in obtaining a sound business knowledge of the customer’s business operation.
- Decision on the suspension of an account due to none payment and liaison with sales and marketing departments thereof.
- Month end pressures of obtaining extreme deadline collections to meet monthly targets to minimise bank overdraft facilities.

**Experience**

A Matric and Credit Control Management Certificate with minimum 5 years credit control experience is essential.
