**What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)**

As part of the Marketing department, you’ll be working closely with marketing data companies, various departments as well as retailers. You’ll present at board level, directly to the CEO so you’ll need to have good presentation skills. We want a trail blazer, someone that will have the ideas/solutions.

You’ll lead shopper and category insights, leading key initiatives from project development, management to completion. You’ll be the leadership for category vision and drivers that enables customer teams to persuade key retail partners of the category strategy. You’ll create and deliver short and long term shopper insight initiatives.

You’ll also build and develop internal reporting databases and templates, manage cross-functional targets and identify key trade opportunities among other things.

You’ll lead, motivate, coach and develop a team of 2 employees. You will also be responsible for training members of the cross functional team on data systems (Retailer POS, IRi).

This is a real “take charge” role where you can leave your mark

**Where you’ll be doing it**

In a beautiful office in the heart of Cape Town for an international FMCG household premium brand with a global footprint, offices and production facilities around the world.

**What you’ll need**

A BCom or marketing related degree with a min of 5 years’ experience in a customer facing Category Management role within FMCG / retail. You’ll have advanced shopper / consumer / /market insights and how these drive category growth in retailers as well as market data software and space planning software experience.

We’re needing your excellent numeracy, analytical and data interpretation skills along with your experience in implementing and evaluating category plans in-store.

You’ll need to have the insights (data driven) experience but you’ll also need the experience we’re you’ve led the business with solutions with those insights, in to customised category plans. A successful, proven track record of success. As we’ve mentioned, we’re looking for a trail blazer, someone dynamic that is business minded that is eager to be part of a really great company to take them to that next step in their career.
