Accounts Clerk

We are seeking an **Accounts Clerk** to join the finance team at our company based in the **New Germany area**. This position provides an opportunity to deal with different accounting functions and give input to a small team. We do have reporting deadlines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Invoicing, quotes, pro-formas
- Debtors & creditors, invoices and reconciliation
- Participate in internal audit processes when required
- Processing journals and reclassification
- Cashbooks
- Loading bank payments
- Cost allocation to correct departments
- Assisting at stock takes
- Ad hoc tasks as needed

**Essential Requirements**:

- Grade 12 with accounting attached results (non-negotiable)
- A qualification in finance will be an advantage
- 1 years minimum proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or similar role
- Strong organizing and time management skills
- We currently use Pastel Evolution, however experience with Xero accounting would be advantageous
- Computer literate (non-negotiable)
- Deadline driven
- Excel experience (non-negotiable)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be punctual
- High attention to detail
- Telephone etiquette
- Able to communicate effectively within a team and with other departments

You will be given the opportunity to learn in different areas you may have not been exposed to before, such as management accounts, or income statement analysis.

Working Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm. We finish at 4pm on a Friday.
