**PACKAGING WORLD **has a vacancy for a **Maintenance Manager**. This position is based in Westmead, Pinetown, Durban.

The successful incumbent will be expected to perform the following duties, not limited to:
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**
- Co-ordinate, supervise work teams and schedule future work
- Planning, Organising, Directing and controlling of work to be donePlanned and reactive maintenance
- Time and attendanceGet overtime approved in advance
- Coaching and motiving Artisans
- Safety requirements and standards are followed as required

- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Ensure that the plant and equipment is maintained in a good condition so as to prevent breakdowns, and minimize the risk of contamination to the product by following this method:

- Condition Monitoring
- Planned Preventive Maintenance
- Repairs / Breakdowns / Corrective Maintenance:

- Post Maintenance Cleaning
- Equipment
- Lubrication
- Engineering Workshops
- Inspect newly acquired equipment upon arrival, checking every part to be sure that they are working and meet up with industry standards before they are put to use in the factory
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, welding, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Project Work: removal of old machinery, installation of new machinery. Installation of new processes. (Electrical, Mechanical & Instrumentation)
- Communicate with co-worker to co-ordinate repairs, maintenance and installations
- Use of hand tools, power tools & measuring instruments

**Qualification and Experience Requirements**:

- Electrical and Mechanical qualification
- 8+ years of manufacturing experience; strong electrical, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
