Maintenance Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical systems, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs.
- Manage project planning, budgeting, and workflow to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and systems are maintained to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve maintenance-related issues promptly.
- Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance across all maintenance activities.
**Requirements**:
**Job Knowledge & Skills**:
- Proven expertise in managing maintenance operations in a hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills, including team management and conflict resolution.
- Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, painting, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.
- Project management skills with a focus on budgeting, scheduling, and workflow optimisation.
**Minimum Qualifications & Experience**:
- **Essential**:
- 5+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a senior management role.
- Completion of relevant short courses in refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or general maintenance.
- Grade 12 qualification.
- **Desirable**:
- Experience in a large hotel environment.
- Trade test certification or equivalent professional qualification.
