We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Revenue and Distribution Assistant to support the efficient management and optimisation of our hotel/lodge group's revenue and inventory. This role is essential for maintaining rate parity, maximising occupancy, and driving overall top-line revenue growth across all distribution channels.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Data Analysis & Strategy Support
- Analyse Performance: Monitor daily/weekly/monthly pickup, sales data, and market trends to identify opportunities and necessary rate/strategy adjustments.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate revenue statistics, performance reports, and ownership reports, ensuring data consistency across all systems.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in preparing rolling forecasts and supporting the annual budget process using PMS, OTA and 3rd party data where necessary.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive and demand analysis to inform pricing and distribution strategies.

2. Distribution & Inventory Management
- Inventory Control: Manage room inventory and availability across all sales channels (OTAs, GDS, Direct, etc.) to maximise bookings and revenue.
- Rate Management: Independently load, maintain, and adjust rates and inventory allotments in the PMS, Channel Manager, and OTA extranets to ensure rate parity.
- System Integrity: Maintain the data integrity of all distribution channels and proactively troubleshoot and resolve any PMS/Channel Manager/OTA rate loading issues.

3. General Support & Communication
- System Utilisation: Support Front Office/Reservations/Revenue teams in the effective and accurate use of the Property Management System (PMS).
- Meetings: Attend key meetings (e.g., Operations and Marketing) to communicate strategies and address revenue-related matters.
- Documentation: Assist in ensuring all revenue management-related systems are maintained.

**Requirements**:
Experience: minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Revenue/Distribution/reservations role within the hospitality industry is essential.

Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of OTA extranets, Channel Managers, and Property Management Systems (PMS).

Data Proficiency: Proven ability to manage, analyse, and interpret large data sets to make strategic revenue decisions.

Qualifications: A formal qualification in Hospitality or a relevant bachelor’s degree (NQF 7)

Attributes: Highly organised, meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solver, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
