You’ve worked in a small company before and you prefer that to a large corporate. You’re accustomed to being the backbone of the company, the one that pulls everything together and ensures the full admin process of the business is running smoothly.
**What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)**
You are the one that tracks, monitors and reconciles all the admin areas such as finance, property, payroll, compliance, HR, cosec and other statutory requirements.
With financial admin, you’ll keep the books and accounting records of financial transactions, reconcile, do the debtors, creditors, data capturing, loading payments, month end journals, invoicing, statements and month end processes amongst other things.
You’ll also be responsible for maintaining property admin - updating costs, municipal statements, compliance docs, tracking payments, lease agreements etc. On the HR side of things, you’ll keep track of employee records, contracts, distributing payslips etc. You’ll be the 2nd on call for after-hours emergency property matters. Additionally, you’ll answer the phone, order supplies, coordinate deliveries, ensure office is kept clean and anything else office related.
It's a varied role that will require you to juggle different types of tasks.
**Where you’ll be doing it**
You’ll be joining a dynamic company engaged in a diverse and growing portfolio which includes residential and commercial properties and a 5 acre garden. The Company has a passion for conservation and is actively collaborating with similar minded stakeholders in order to establish significant conservation and heritage spaces in the Durbanville area.
Although it’s a small team of employees, they are making a big difference and are exceptionally passionate about what they do and have been working for the company for many years. They foster a healthy, down to earth working environment and they are big on accountability, communication and collaboration. This is an in office role, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
**What you’ll need**
We’re looking for someone with a financial qualification of some sort with at least 5 years hands on finance and administration experience. You’ll need to understand the difference between a debit and credit and what a balance sheet is. Essentially though we’re wanting someone from a small working environment where you’ve played a varied role with a combination of finance, admin and office management. You’ll need to be comfortable in an environment where everyone pulls their weight and no job is too small or big to tackle.
You will need to have solid computer skills as well as some accounting package experience. There is a preference for someone that is familiar working extensively with Google Drive and QuickBooks.
You love being hands on, you’re able to juggle a variety of tasks at one time and your “follow through” is strong. You don’t leave any stone unturned to ensure everything is taken care of efficiently and effectively.
You are required to have your own car and drivers license.
