Salary: R40,000 monthly Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for their team in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Strong knowledge of tax and statutory reporting requirements. Proven experience in cost accounting. Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, or similar). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across departments. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with the company policies. Ensure compliance with all tax, VAT, and statutory obligations. Manage and oversee the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries. Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, inventory valuations, and gross margins. Provide accurate financial reports and variance analysis to management, highlighting risks and opportunities. Lead and support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. Mentor and guide junior finance team members, promoting best practices and professional development. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
