About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and strong financial controls. The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting decision-making by providing insights into financial performance and cost management, while driving efficiency across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

-Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with and company policies. -Ensure compliance with all tax, VAT, and statutory obligations.

-Manage and oversee the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.

-Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, inventory valuations, and gross margins.

-Provide accurate financial reports and variance analysis to management, highlighting risks and opportunities. -Lead and support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.

-Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.

-Mentor and guide junior finance team members, promoting best practices and professional development.

-Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.

-Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects within finance and operations.

**Qualifications & Experience:

-**
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

-Minimum 5–7 years' experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

-Strong knowledge of tax, and statutory reporting requirements.

-Proven experience in cost accounting.

-Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, or similar).

-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

-Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.

-Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
