Inbound Forklift Driver

PURPOSE

To drive the forklift to collect and load waste from around the factory. To drive the forklift to issue raw materials to production in full as per requisition or sales order.

SPAN OF CONTROL

This role is accountable for all waste collection and loading, raw material, and packaging issues and all the stock functions that requires to be moved by forklift

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTPUTS

Warehousing, Inventory and Logistics
- Perform warehouse functions as follows:

- Move waste from the production areas into the waste location.
- Loading and offloading of waste bins daily.
- Ensure that all waste is loaded according to correct waste descriptions.
- Keep the factory always clean internally and externally.
- Report any non
- conformances relating to waste and stock to the Inbound Inventory Supervisor.
- Assist with issuing of raw materials and packaging as per requests from the various production departments.
- Any reasonable task required by the Department Supervisor or Manager.

Safety, Health, Environment - We Tread Softly
- Report all safety hazards, incidents and near misses
- Ensure housekeeping is kept to **5S standards.**:

- Conduct forklift checks and complete checklists

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Knowledge and skill
- Valid forklift license
- Computer literate
- Numeracy skills
- Writing skills

QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 / Matric with Maths/MLit
- Valid Forklift License
- 3 - 5 years relevant Inbound Logistics and Warehouse experience in a similar role.
