**The purpose of the Company Secretary**:
To provide comprehensive & Professional Company secretarial services and administrative support to key role players in order to support the company objectives; namely to provide a strategic industry support service towards a dynamic industry and thereby enhancing the sustainability of farmers in South Africa. Basically the primary source of advice on the conduct of the business.

**1. Responsibilities to Board & Trust**
- Corporate Governance: Compliance & Process - Operate within proper governance framework. regional organisational, compliance and reporting
- Company Secretarial Duties to meetings, Forums & Congress
- Induction, Orientation & Training of Newly appointed directors

**2. Responsibilities to Company & Stakeholders**
- Compliance with Statutory & Legal requirements (Lodging all returns in accordance with the companies Act including a copy of the audited annual financial statement / Registering & renewal of all Trade Marks)
- Creation and maintenance of an information system other than required for meeting purposes, corporate governance and compliance requirements.

**Education and or Work Experience Requirements**

The Company Secretary: Corporate Governance must have excellent leadership, communication and administrative Skills, experience in the agricultural or Farming and legal industry.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or Political Science and Agricultural or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience as a company secretary, interpreting on relevant legislations, directives, practices/procedures and ensuring compliance, within the agricultural sector or any Farming sector
- Membership of the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA), or relevant bodies will be an added advantage.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of legislation within the agricultural industry.
- Excellent computer proficiency.
- Ability to multi-task & superb planning abilities
- Excellent Organisational Skills and a keen eye for detail, as well as being able to see the complete the complete picture

**You must be able to**:

- Communicate with confidence and effectively with Board Members, Stakeholders and all other levels of staff.
- Communicate fluently in English & Afrikaans.(Bilingual)
- Build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Solve problems and provide guidance
- Plan & Organize on an exceptional level, with the Ability to multitask and work with multiple stakeholders.
- display excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and board level executives / High Level stakeholder engagement ability
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent guidance.

**Salary**: From R50,000.00 per month
