To assist and support the Head of Recoveries and Specialised Collections. The EDC Relationship Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that the outsourced providers and partners deliver in accordance with pre-agreed service levels and Tenacity’s policies and standards.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. EDC Relationship Management**
- Manage the day to day relationship and administration of external debt collection agencies
- Build and maintain relationships with all EDC’s in order to gain maximum performance
- Manage and facilitate the handover and withdrawal of files to EDC’s
- Execute delinquent account outsourcing according to strategy
- Execute daily administration requests from EDC’s via different channels
- Address underperformance proactively with EDC’s

**2. EDC Performance Monitoring and Reporting**
- Prepare monthly portfolio performance reports for various stakeholders and EDC’s
- Monitor EDC performances weekly and generate performance reports
- Prepare monthly comprehensive EDC performance reports
- Manage under performance of portfolios with the EDC’s

- Continuously analyse and interpret data to identify optimisation opportunities, gaps and risks

**3. Systems and Processes**
- Daily execution of administration request from EDC via different channels
- Recommend system and/or process changes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Implement EDC strategy and ensure all systems and processes are aligned for strategy implementation
- Design operational systems and practices in the department to ensure alignment with industry standards and achievement of business targets, objectives and KPI’s
- Develop business requirement specification that will support any new system or functional requirement within the department
- Ensure compliance to all policy, procedure, regulatory and legal elements of the organisation
- Continuously seek improvements and the implementation of effective collection processes and technology
- Staying abreast of industry trends and changes in legislation applicable to the credit and recovery industry

**4. Leadership and People Management**
- Provide visible and clear leadership to team, promoting a culture of high performance and customer focus
- Conduct regular management and team meetings to ensure high levels of communication, teamwork, integration, motivation, training and productivity
- Maintain a department organisational structure, capacity (knowledge and skills) and career pathing sufficient to meet business strategies and operational targets
- Implement and maintain people management practices in alignment with Tenacity policies

**Required Knowledge & Experience**:

- 3 - 5 Years’ EDC management experience essential
- 7 Years’ experience within a Collections and EDC environment
- Booksale experience would be advantageous
- Experience in working on CAS
- Collection and Recoveries Industry business knowledge essential
- Knowledge and experience of 3rd Party Supplier Relationship Management
- Sound knowledge of Debt Review, Administration Orders, and Deceased Estate processes

**Required Qualifications**:

- Grade 12
- Tertiary Degree/ Diploma advantageous
