We are looking for a passionate and detail-driven **Junior Food Safety Officer** to join our team based at our **Head Office in KZN**, where you’ll play a key role in upholding our food safety standards across the region.

**Purpose of the Role**:
To support the Food Safety Officer in ensuring food safety compliance across Boxer’s operations, maintaining high standards in handling, preparation, and storage, and aligning with legislation to protect customer safety.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- National Diploma or 3-Year Degree in Food Science/Food Safety
- Minimum 2 years’ food safety experience
- Proficient in Excel and computer literate
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation (FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, PRP)
- Familiarity with hygiene practices, procedures, and relevant systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and conceptual thinking ability
- Professional presentation and deadline-driven mindset

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of food safety policies
- Help manage corrective actions and compliance from inspections
- Support new store rollouts and retraining initiatives
- Aid in evaluating risks from internal audits and peer reviews
- Administer and update food safety documentation and systems (TRAC, BeSafe)
- Conduct inspections and support third-party audits
- Assist in food safety incident investigations and customer complaint resolution
- Ensure training and corrective actions are followed through at store/DC level
