**Fleet Manager**

**Contractual Arrangement**: Fixed-term appointment

**Full Job Description**

Prime African Security is looking for a Fleet Manager for our office based in Hatfield, Pretoria.

**The primary objective of the role is as follows**:
Responsible for ensuring the effective running of the fleet nationally by ensuring the maximum number of serviced and reliable vehicles is available for deployment. Responsible for analyzing all available fleet information to ensure optimal vehicle utilization and reporting back to the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
- Daily tracking of entire fleet
- Scrutinize fuel reports received from suppliers to ascertain correct fuel consumption
- Sample controls of vehicle monitoring equipment to determine levels of excessive idling
- Liaising with management to leverage best practices within Fleet division
- Implement all fleet SOPs
- Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
- Weekly reporting as required by line manager and relevant stakeholders
- Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency
- Ensure legal compliance of fleet
- Ensuring all fleet members have valid drivers licences and up-to-date training
- Manage accidents
- Reduce vehicle off the road incidents
- Discuss and plan maintenance schedules
- Ensure timeous fitting of equipment: tracking unit, vehicle branding.
- Identify potential fleet problem areas/challenges
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
- Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet

**Minimum qualification**:
Grade 12/Matric
Fleet / Operations / Project Management / Financial Qualification

**Fleet Manager Requirements**:

- 5 years of Operations / Fleet management experience
- Experience in the Security industry
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Quantitative ability
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication

Valid driver’s license and advanced driving skills

Pay: From R15 000,00 per month
