Shift Process Technician

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support on shift, development and control to the assets, so that it maintains the highest levels of productivity and profitability while maintaining acceptable safety and quality levels. Provide technical support to the Operations Teams to ensure problem solving through a continuous improvement mindset and driving the highest standards in Manufacturing Excellent results that supports 24-hour change overs. Provide data analysis for a key focus area.

**About the position**

Providing process and technical support to the machine crews on shift in order to maintain and optimize asset process until the palletisers stability and develop crew’s process knowledge to achieve safety, quality, and productivity.

**What will you be doing?**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be a leader and role model for the Operations and Asset Team.
- Liaise with Asset team, Operations team, Engineering team and Quality team.
- Capable of leading self and driving performance management.
- Train, develop and up skill personnel by means of on-the-job as well as technial and generic training.
- Lead\Support Innovation and renovation projects for successful launch into the Mill and market.
- Requires understanding of Environmental, legal and K-C statutory requirements.
- Continually comply with all K-C regulatory & control requirements, internal controls, while at all-times driving accountability and compliance on the asset.
- Ensure assets are maintained in a “Safe to operate” condition at all times while promoting all aspects of safe working practices to meet all safety and housekeeping objectives of the plant.
- Contribute to the development of sound safety programmes and maintenance of good working conditions, adherence to organization and Legal Safety rules and regulations.
- Participate in the role out and development of improvement projects in specific focus areas.
- Lead improvement on various assets in the Mill that will improve “stops, quality, safety, ROO and waste.
- Participate in review meetings that will drive sustainability and encourage dialogue that will drive and sustain our Lean Culture.
- Develop WI, Standards and OPL’s that will build capability.
- Provide engineering and process knowledge and support for the solution of Mill daily operating problems on shift.
- Own the centerlining process and uses digital tools to track and optimise performance.
- Lead and own P2030 best practice implementation on the assets during shifts
- Provide input, technical development and technical control including autonomous care protocols to the Operational lines so that the process operates at the highest productivity and profitability levels.
- Assisting with the planning and set up of the machine for all product and process trials.
- Audit and make recommendations for the solution of problems relating to production, cost and quality of all production to assure the attainment of Mill Objectives and compliance with GMP standards.
- Support analysis of the Bills of Materials for the Asset to drive usage and run to core.
- Continuously seek innovative solutions and lead by example as well as benchmarking of solutions.
- Formulate, develop and drive areas of improvement within specific process areas supported by digital analysis and dashboards to deliver improved costs and quality.
- Review of statistical data to support quality and OEE
- Accountable for Data integrity for the specific process area.
- Analyse and interpret data to enable operating teams to achieve performance targets in accordance with P2030 and Manufacturing best practice.
- Accountable for achievement of RTT, Centerlining, Specification reviews.
- Assist in managing quality feedback to customers that will minimize asset waste and improve customer perception in reducing market complaints.
- Continuous monitoring of PASS/ quality charts results and coordinating of relevant corrective actions.

- Working with diverse problems requiring in-depth knowledge of the operations environment.
