Day Process Technician

**About the position**

Providing process and technical support to the machine crews on shift in order to maintain and optimize asset process until the palletisers stability and develop crew’s process knowledge to achieve safety, quality, and productivity.

**What will you be doing?**

**Safety**
- Ensure compliance to all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations. All non-conformances should be dealt with immediately and all unresolved issues must be raised with Asset Leader. Follow the correct WSWP and Process Instruction for all tasks performed. Carry out continual development of process optimization to ensure safety. Drive grade change improvement and safety concerns, support the process to eliminate safety concerns. Comply and support safety as the most important value in Kimberly Clark

**Quality**
- Ensure all quality issues are reported and logged on the appropriate documentation. Ensure all good run settings are determined using the centerlining process and are then documented and controlled. Any changes to process settings must be documented in the centerlining control charts. Maintain a “run to target” philosophy at all times. Continuous monitoring of PASS/ OSI/ MES charts results and coordinating of relevant corrective actions. Assist in providing answers to customer quality complaints and providing action plans to prevent these from re-occurring

**Productivity**
- To support production within the diaper/ femcare and pants operation by providing process & technical support to the production teams.
- Continual process optimisation in order to achieve the correct OEE, waste, delay, and volume without compromising safety and quality. Investigate and trend top reasons for waste and delay daily and ensure plans in place to drive running to targeted OEE
- Control and continuously optimize all changeovers, ensuring they are performed using good run settings and best practices at all times
- To carry out action plans as directed in order to solve problems thereby minimizing delay.
- Responsible for process delay on the asset
- Responsible for coaching operators around process best practice
- Participate in Tier meetings.
- Analyse delay and together with Mechanical Niche Technician resolve problems from mechanical nature to ensure minimum delay, be key in supporting process issues.
- Lead change overs on the asset in order to minimise change over delay and drive improvement to drive anytime grade changes
- To continuously work on improvement plans to upgrade/improve the asset performance and capability in line with Autonamous Care.
- Ensure all documentation are recorded properly and systematically to provide optimum reliability of the asset.
- Provide coaching and build talent as part of creating a sustainable operation
- Adhere and drive standards as part of a culture of compliance.
- Investigate raw material over consumption daily

**Technical**
- Manage the inspection and replacing of all wearing parts in accordance with the relevant PM schedules.
- Assisting with the planning and set up of the machine for all product and process trials.
- Provide technical information to the maintenance teams detailing work requests for planned and reactive maintenance.
- Development of the team’s process knowledge on an ongoing basis through one-on-one coaching and employee assessments.
- Ensuring the continuous optimisation of changeovers on machines.
- Involved in shuts across the assets

**Housekeeping**
- Maintain 5S housekeeping principles in the department at all times, including all equipment and surrounds. Ensure all unused items are removed from the operating area and stored correctly.
- Drive 5S principles during grade changes

**Lean**
- LSW compliance on daily basis and SPS Mind-set is key to drive the continues improvement culture.
- Support Opex and ensure sustainability through TIP Shift Action completion
