**Position/Title**: Shift Quality Technician
**Reports To**:QA Manager
**Employment Type**:Permanent

**Overall Responsibility**:
The Shift Quality Technician ensures that all company procedures and products meet internal quality standards as well as external regulations.

**Focus Area 1**

**Complete Quality Assurance Audits**:

- Act as catalysts for change and improvement in performance and quality
- Establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, and determining operational and performance qualification

**Focus Area 2**

**QC Analysis, Analytical Reporting, Equipment maintenance**:

- Perform QC analysis to ensure that product meets customer requirement. Extracts database information and manipulates data into clear reports for management, corporate executives, and clients as needed.
- Ensure Lab equipment is maintained and in good operational state.

**Focus Area 3**

**Maintain and Update Company Procedures and Policies**:

- Maintains and keeps the policy and procedural manuals up to date.
- Conduct training and assessments of shift operators required to carry out QC analysis.

**Focus Area 4**

**Food Safety**
Perform Food Safety and Quality related activities as part of the FSMS and QC functions

**Requirements of the Role**:

- NSC Matric Certificate with Core Maths, Biology, Science
- Tertiary degree/diploma in food science, microbiology, analytical or related field.
- 1 year experience in a FMCG environment
- Shift Based position

**Preferred Skills/Competencies**:

- Communication Skills
- Analytical thinking
- Technical writing
- Self-motivated
