Objectives of this Role:
- Maintain a talent pool for future roles in the Tech space specifically, however you will also support other business divisions
You will be required to:
- Partner with hiring managers / teams to source talent for critical vacancies, as well headhunt for high priority / scarce skill roles, conduct culture and skills assessments, and offer approaches with an ability to manage hiring manager expectations through a deep understanding of the business
- Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the growth of the team and the company, implementing any new processes and fine tuning standard processes for recruiting that assists to deliver the highest quality results to the business
- Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives, including research of best practices in interviewing techniques, and leveraging internal sources of talent
- Screen CVs, prescreen telephonically before presenting shortlist to leaders.
- Provide weekly feedback to leaders on progress of vacant roles
- Update relevant schedules and databases on progress
- Arrange MIE and credit checks
- Assist with training plans for new starters
- Facilitate onboarding of all new starters
- Perform 30 and 60 day catch-up sessions with new starters
You will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
- Matric
- At least 5 years’ experience in recruitment - either in a fast-paced startup / progressive corporate environment and preferably with previous recruitment agency background
- Must know how to headhunt / source for scarce skills roles - specifically in the Tech space
- Excellent Knowledge of LinkedIn, job boards and social media (used for recruitment purposes)
- MS Office - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and relationships at one time
- Excellent written and verbal (telephonic) communication in English
- Confident on the phone - ability to make calls and sell the position / company
- Computer literate - proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of VIP People would be an advantage
- Knowledge of HR / internal recruitment practices an advantage
