**Job Title: Senior HR Generalist**
**Location: Johannesburg, South Africa**
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to offer management and onboarding for roles across the organization.
- Partner with department heads to identify hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Utilize various recruitment strategies, including job boards, social media, and employee referrals, to attract top talent.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee records management, payroll administration, leave management, and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Manage employee life cycle processes, including onboarding, employee movements (promotions, transfers), and offboarding.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Assist in implementing performance management systems and ensuring the timely completion of performance appraisals.
- Work closely with managers to develop employee development plans and address performance issues.
- Ensure adherence to South African labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement appropriate HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Support succession planning, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating employee development programs to enhance skillsets and improve organizational performance.
- Prepare regular HR reports, including headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics, and employee engagement data, to inform decision-making.
- Analyze trends and recommend HR solutions to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
**Key Requirements**:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on recruitment and HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and manage deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) are a plus.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
