**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develops and maintains the **Compliance Strategy** for the region. Ensures alignment with the Group compliance strategy.
- Manage the Compliance Dept to facilitate achievement of the Regional Compliance Strategy.
- ** Responsible for the drafting and implementation of Compliance governance documents** which are appropriately communicated to and implemented by the South African Region.
- Overseeing the **identification and communication of legislative changes; advising on the extent to which the legislative changes impact upon SA business units**; advising changes required to achieve compliance and assisting with the implementation as required.
- Responsible for the implementation and use of appropriate automated systems to (i)** improve efficiencies within the Compliance Dept; (ii) raise awareness around Compliance within the South African region; and (iii) train employees on the various elements of Compliance.**:

- Responsible for the efficient and effective reporting of **Compliance breaches and areas of non-compliance; the co-ordination of investigations into alleged breaches; a**nd overseeing that appropriate action is taken where necessary.
- ** Empowering business units within the South African Region to assess the extent of their complianc**e with those aspects of the South African Compliance framework applicable to them.
- Reporting to the **Compliance Steercom and providing high quality reports to the various governance structures within the organization.**:

- ** Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders** across the organisation and externally at all levels and crossfunctionally.
- Ensuring **open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.**:

- ** Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers.**:

- Liaising with the **necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable.**:

- Collaborating with external **service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance process
