Procurement Governance and Compliance Manager:

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct and oversee internal audit processes, ensuring compliance with National Treasury Regulations (e.g. PPFM, PPPFA), internal policies and procedures, and industry best practices.
- Ensure controls and action plans are in place to manage non-compliance.
- Drafting operational procedures and policies to ensure compliance for the Group.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management as required.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of compliance vulnerability, developing strategies and action plans to address potential risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment and consistency in governance and compliance efforts.
- Establish and oversee compliance training programs for employees, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
- Manage external audits and investigations, coordinating with external auditors and legal counsel, as necessary.
- Monitor and report on compliance metrics and key performance indicators, providing regular updates to senior management and the Executive Committee.
- Establish and manage bid evaluation committees, ensuring proper composition, independence, compliance to mitigate any favouritism which could result in corrupt decisions.

Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field; Honours degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) would be preferrable.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Governance, Compliance, Risk Management, preferably in the Mining or Public Sector.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a commitment to promoting a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
