We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee our Home Meal Replacement (HMR) section in our 3 Superspar stores. Bedfordview Spar, Glenacres Superspar and Blackheath Superspar

Join our team and contribute to delivering delicious, fresh meals daily

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Recipe Development & Management**: Develop, test, and improve recipes for a wide range of fresh meals and ready-to-eat products.
- **Food Costing & Profitability**: Calculate and monitor food costs to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
- **Procurement & Stock Control**: Manage all aspects of buying ingredients, packaging, and equipment. Ensure timely ordering and optimal stock levels.
- **Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance**: Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards (HACCP) within the kitchen and serving areas.
- **Staff Management**: Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff and front-of-house servers to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
- **Menu Planning**: Collaborate with management to plan and design menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- **Operational Efficiency**: Oversee daily kitchen operations, monitor food preparation processes, and ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
- **Customer Engagement**: Work closely with the retail team to ensure customer satisfaction and address any feedback or concerns.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, HMR Manager, or in a similar role within a retail or supermarket environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Experience with recipe development, food costing, and menu planning.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Proficiency in inventory management and procurement processes.
