**Creditors Clerk**

**Required Minimum Qualification**
- Matric
- Must have or studying towards a Finance related degree.

**Required minimum experience**
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Finance and accounting environment.

**Skills & competencies**
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience on ERP systems (SAP B1 knowledge and experience advantageous)
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must have good numerical ability administration skills and discipline.
- Must be proactive and have own initiative.
- Must be organized and accurate.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must have good communication skills over all levels of colleagues and clients.

**Main Purpose**

To ensure complete and accurate recording of the company’s accounting records in the general ledger and supplementary systems.

Proper management of local trade payables
- Check & match invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes as proof of delivery or signed acceptance of service delivery.
- Check company info is on invoices; liaise with buyers, goods receiving clerk & suppliers on queries.
- Print all creditors reports for reconciliation purposes.
- Accurately prepare monthly reconciliations for all creditor’s accounts
- All reconciliations are viewed by the FM before EFT’s are authorized.
- Send remittance advice to suppliers that request it after completion of the payment.
- Stamp “paid” on all the invoices after payment.
- Filing of invoices & remittance with invoices after payment run & general housekeeping.
- Monthly Age Analysis to FD and MD

Proper management of overseas trade payables
- Same as the local trade payables
- Check if the shipping documents are correct before payment.
- Request correct info/VOC if shipping documents are incorrect.
- Scan supplier invoice with shipping documents for payment to attach when payments are captured on NedTreasury

Financial Management of Intercompany creditors
- Reconcile remittance & statements of intercompany creditors.
