**Field Operations Management**

Provide the field operator the ability to present the customer with an accurate and complete field ticked based on the information required by both the company and the customer. Customers provide immediate sign off upon delivery of products and services, which is immediately sent to head office for processing and invoice generation.

Captures and stores all critical information. Field operator and customer signature as well as the field ticket itself are securely stored directly in the data base with a detailed audit trail for retrieval and any regulatory compliance.
**General Duties and Responsibilities**
This is a representative list of the general duties the staff member may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all inclusive:
1 achieve branch objectives for sales and profit performance
2 handles customer issues
3 sets priorities of store specialists and staffing
4 maintains store, equipment and supplies, to include cleaning and repairing
5 ensures all computer hardware is licensed, updated and properly maintained
6 troubleshoots equipment problems and solves technical issues
7 takes pre-emptive action to prevent technical errors
8 troubleshoots customer problems using extensive knowledge of solutions and resources
9 provides customer service, including anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives and problem solving
**Main office efficiency**
1 plan and implement office systems, layout and equipment procurement
2 maintain and replenish inventory
3 check stock to determine inventory levels
4 anticipate needed supplies
5 verify receipt of supply
**Functions of the Operations Manager to Increase Productivity**
Equipment Upgrades/Asset Management
One of the responsibilities of an operations manager is to analyze work functions to determine what equipment upgrades would improve productivity. This includes the manufacturing operations, office functions such as the computer network and office equipment and improvements to the building itself. The operations manager determines which equipment changes will improve company efficiency, creates a budget for implementing the changes and then submits the information to the executive team for consideration.
Communication Co-ordination
Improved communication within an organization can increase productivity. When information can get from one department to another quickly and accurately, it can speed up the pace at which the company can operate and insures that all necessary parties get the information they need to be productive. An operations manager is responsible for making sure that the tools necessary to facilitate efficient communication within the organization are in place. For example, he may set up an adequate computer accounting system that calculates current inventory and sends that information to the manufacturing department to maintain product levels for fulfilling orders.
Training
Operational managers work with the human resources department and departmental managers to develop more efficient ways for employees to do their jobs. Analyzing work functions is one of the many tasks that an operations manager performs each day. In the course of analyzing the efficiency of the work process, the operations manager determines ways that the employee can maximize productivity. The operations manager then develops a training program, in conjunction with the departmental manager, that the employee can undertake to improve his personal productivity.
**Warehouse Management**
The responsibilities of an operations manager involves the process of planning, designing, and operating production systems and sub systems. Most managers have operations management responsibilities: these include
