**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for understanding business needs and translating them into analytical reporting requirements.
- Ability to understand and build ETL processes within MS environment.
- Perform data manipulation and SQL development, design and maintenance.
- AD-hoc data extracts and reporting across large production-based data sets within SQL environment.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel and supporting tools to manipulate data.
- Profile source system data, identify data anomalies and propose data cleansing rules to optimally use data for reporting purposes.
- The ability to design reports and dashboards and the development thereof within reporting tools such as Microsoft PowerBI.
- The ability to construct underlying SQL code such as to minimise run time and latency of reports to provide high quality interactive reports and dashboards.
- Adapt BI processes to accommodate changes in source systems.
- Interface with company and client to ensure successful delivery of client reporting and dashboard requirements.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Relevant degree / diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution, aligned to relevant experience
- Strong data and analytical skills working across large datasets
- Thorough understanding of SQL and available tools.
- Proficient in reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience using Power Automate and building flows.
- Powershell scripting advantageous.
- Understanding SSIS packages and deployment from within VS.
- Advanced MS Office skills essential.
- Experienced in managing large volumes of data from different sources (internal and external)
- Ability to communicate clearly to achieve full comprehension of required tasks and/or objectives.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
